Music Education & Performing Arts Program
FRIENDS was delighted to introduce a new Music Education & Performing Arts Program at the Fifth Annual Spring Event in May 2007.
Funded in part by a generous three-year grant from the
Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia, the Program is based on the belief that all children deserve the opportunity to learn and grow from exposure to, and participation in, the arts.
The future of the children, we serve, is better realized because:
- Music Education enhances academic performance, self-esteem, personal discipline and responsibility.
- Music Education exposes them to the world of the arts and affords them experiences beyond their neighborhoods and schools.
- Music and the Arts encourage families to learn and grow together.
Don't miss the opportunity to see FRIENDS showcase the first-year accomplishments of its innovative Music Education Program!
